Einstein software archive. Einstein Original System disks, etc. These folders are named after the disks that the files were taken from. Folders starting PD... are from the Public Domain library. Files endong ".DOS" are images of the dos section of the disk and can be restored to a formatted disk by loading them, dropping to MOS and doing a "W 100 1B00" if you don't know what that means you probably don't need to do it :) The files were copied to PC via a serial cable with the Kermit file transfer software. If you want it (in my opinion it's the best file transfer software there is, and is available for almost any platform, meaning you can transfer CP/M files straight from an old Osborne Executive straight to an Einstein, for axample.) It's freeware and is available from http://www.columbia.edu/kermit/ and also in the modem and CFsoft folders here (for the Einstein version) and in the "MSDOS Kermit" folder for the MSDOS version. The default settings of Kermit work fine on the Einstein. Just load it in the einstein and on your PC(from the command line) put the disk you want to transfer files from in the Einstein and type; COPY *.* and on the pc type; RECEIVE All the files from the disk will transfer to your PC with full error checking. If you need Disk images I suggest you use the Excellent EDIP software by Chris Coxall and available from his site here - http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/retrocomputer/xindex.html or here - http://members.lycos.co.uk/albertstc01/ Any issues regarding copyright should be addressed to me at eineyfiles@giddyfish.com Best wishes.
