DOSPLUS.NOT file Notes on DOS+ DOS+ as installed for the Tatung Einstein provides a series of significant improvements on the commercial program CP/M DOS 2.2. These are listed in the documentary file DOS+.DOC on disk PD 245. The three disks PD 244 to PD 246 contains DOS+ configured for a system with two internal 3" drives and an external 5.25" drive (double sided 80 track). A silicon disk can be used without any problem. Do NOT try to mix XtalDOS with DOS+ A disk which has been initialized with INITDIR.COM under DOS+ can be processed only by DOS+ (3" and 5.25"). DOS+ can process any ZOS3 disk (see PD disks 234 - 243) DOS+ is a Disk Operating System which brings time and date stampings. It's advantage is to be able to extract files to run from libraries, so that places can be saved on disks. This package can be enhanced with a routine that gives real time. I think there must exist a better version that is CP/M 3.0 compatible. It would be interesting to install it on the Einstein. I don't think that this version of DOS+ is CP/M 3.0 compatible, because the date handling uses a different format than the one used by CP/M 3.0. Also the version number returned by the bdos function 12 is 2.5 and not 3.0 or higher. But our members can try it to see which files will run. P.
